Product Applications

The EQ series is specifically developed for low- to medium-pressure applications in the dairy and beverage industries. Typical applications include:

  • Dairy products: milk, yogurt, cream, flavored milk

  • Beverage products: fruit juices and fruit nectars

Theory of Operation

Homogenization is used to enhance product quality, improve functionality, and reduce costs. This mechanical process turns immiscible liquids into a stable emulsion.
The homogenizer works as a positive displacement pump fitted with a homogenizing valve. Product entering the machine is forced at high pressure through a narrow gap, creating intense velocity, turbulence, and pressure changes. These forces break down and disperse particles, resulting in a uniform, stable product.
